About
About Jack Grant
I'm Jack, a wildlife and nature photographer from New Zealand - and New Zealand is where I fell in love with nature and with photographing it.

How I started
I got my first camera from my dad when I was 11, but my passion for photography really started when I left home. I'd head out on amazing adventures and see beautiful things, and I wanted to share these experiences and moments with everyone. But telling stories could only convey so much, so I started to take my camera with me to capture the beauty of the world - be it noticing small little details or epic encounters.
Where I've photographed
I've been very lucky to have travelled all over the world, from Alaska to Africa. I've sailed around the Pacific on sailing catamarans, crewed on a superyacht, backpacked around Central America, and lived in a van in Europe and Morocco. I enjoyed capturing photos of the amazing places I visited. My New Zealand shots range from planned photography trips to simply taking photos of the local birds outside my window.
What I shoot with
I shoot with a Canon M50 Mark II. It's not the biggest or the best camera out there, but with patience, planning and a bit of passion, I can still capture photos I'm proud of.
Why prints
My photos have been sitting on a hard drive for years, and now I want to share them with the world - to show people wonderful wildlife from all over and, hopefully, inspire them to help save it. By buying a print, you'll be helping to protect it too. And I'd love for people to have some of the magic moments I've captured hanging in their own spaces.
